Welcome to Monte’s Pies.  We're glad you visited.  Due to numerous reasons, personal and professional, we closed our doors in 2008.  Thank you for your your support.  Perhaps the business will return - bigger and better, even.  Stay tuned.  Meanwhile, the site will remain active for a while.  Look around to learn some of what we were all about. Most of our recipes were handed down through the family.  Others were specially chosen - after countless late-night hours of testing - from old southern church and community cook books. All of our varieties are made just like you would at home.  We crack every egg and carefully measure each ingredient by hand.  And our shopping list contains only items you'd recognize like whole eggs, pure cane sugar, and pure maple syrup, with no added preservatives or colorings.  One bite and you'll taste why our award-winning pies are truly "The Hallmark of Homemade".
